What happens if an emergency comes up and I have to cancel?
Due to scheduling, a same day cancellation is a $50 fee.
What if I'm unable to call and don't show up?
In the event that you are unable to call and don't show up to your appointment, you will be charged for the full service.
What should I bring for my first visit?
You should bring your insurance card, any relevant documents to your visit, a printed copy of the privacy practices notice, and a demographic form which can be found in your client portal.

What type of insurance do you accept?
We accept Humana, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, United Health Care.
Do you accept the Employee Assisted Program?

What if I don't have insurance?
We have a sliding scale for patients without insurance.
Do you schedule appointments outside of business hours?
Established patients only can request an after hours appointment either at the office or over the phone.
I have a high co-pay. Can I use the Sliding Fee Discount Program rate for my copay?
No. If you choose to use your insurance to pay for services, you are obligated to pay your copay at the determined rate set by your health insurance company.
I have health insurance, but I do not want to use it. Can I apply for the Sliding Fee Discount program?
Yes. You have the right to choose self-pay in lieu of health insurance.
I lost my job. Do I still have to pay?
Unfortunately, New Mercy Behavioral Health, LLC cannot sustain business without charging for services rendered. In the event of an unfortunate life changing event (job loss) we ask that you speak with your therapist directly to avoid interruptions in your healing. Options are available.
I am currently paying for services through the Sliding Fee Discount program, but I've recently become insured. Can I use my health insurance?
Yes. You have the right to choose to use your insurance or self-pay. However, your health insurance benefits must be verified by our billing department prior to the next appointment date.
